The Man in Black, Johnny Cash has died
A giant in music we all know
Yadda, yadda, yadda
Me thought he died 10 years ago

His death was upstaged by a talented young lad
A pioneer of randiness on the telly
Like me, his humour was truly risqué
Unlike Cash he didn't go straight to helly!

(short instrumental break and dance number)

John Ritter was a straight man who played at being gay
His life story did make the mind boggle
One cramped apartment could not keep at bay
Two woo-woos and his flatmates' wiggle-woggle

They all showed up at the memorial service
Suzanne Somers and that bird who played Teri
Don Knotts (is he dead?) and the rest of them cried
“Dear God, why couldn’t it have been Larry?”

Keep your chin up, though his death stings
Collectively dry your sad eyes
For John Ritter soars on gossamer wings
At the great Regal Beagle in the sky

Rest in peace, John Ritter. And you too, Johnny Cash
