15. "Insurgents"
|
It occurs to us that Iraqi insurgents are not
unlike American 20-somethings who who graduated from college with
a degree in film history and are now searching for themselves
while living off their parent's retirement funds, pondering graduate
school and smoking a lot of cannabis, paid for by a part time
job in telemarketing. That beats blowing yourself up any day.

14. Gay Reality TV stars
|
Overexposed celebrities are
just itching for an ethnic cleansing award. Add the "gay and
annoying" factor as seen on "Queer Eye" and it's
a no-brainer. It's not homophobia at play here, it's just the good
old-fashioned playground bully mentality that wants to hang them
up in a tree by their stylish colored boxer-brief Calvin Kleins. |

13. Michael Jackson
|
Michael
Jackson was ranked #1 in 2002's Ethnic Cleansing Awards but dropped
to #13 this year. Why? Artists continually need to reinvent themselves
and Michael Jackson keeps running over the same old ground --Inappropriate
relations with kids, Peter Pan, lipstick, baby-dangling, Liza Minelli.
How about something new? Like releasing a "greatest hits"
album or joining the Nation of Islam. Nevermind. |

12. Europe
|
While France
was singled out in last year's awards, the entire continent of Europe
makes #12 this year. Whether it's Jacque Chirac, Gerhard Schroeder,
the unfair dollar-to-Euro exchange rate, or bad personal hygiene
and an obsession with soccer, Europe has demonstrated it is the
two-faced "Eddie Haskell" of the post industrial world.
Plus, they talk funny. |

11. Clay Aiken
|
Clay
Aiken is super sensitive, has dreamy eyes and takes care of autistic
kids during his time off from recording and touring. So what is
it that makes the American Idol star #11 on our list? It's the hair.
Wait, no -- the high pitched voice. Hold on -- It's that he graced
the cover of Rolling Stone (unforgivable). It's just so hard to
identify why we want Clay Aiken ethnically cleansed. Perhaps one
of the great mysteries of life. Sort of like how someone so gay
can be so clearly in denial. |
