I have 2 clowns available on that date right now. Can you give me

Thanks!

Sandy,
The party is for my nephew. It's his birthday and he LOVES clowns.
We are holding the party at my house at around 6pm. We'd just like
a clown to entertain everyone with magic, games, etc. Whatever is
the normal routine? How much is the charge for a clown? Ive
got lots of planning to do. Want to get things set up soon for sure.
We would like for there to be lots of visual stuff. My nephew is
hearing impaired. If that is going to be a problem let me know.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike-
I have the perfect clown for you! Her rate is $65.00 per hour and
she has some knowledge of American Sign Language and is considering
becoming a Sign Language Clown. Will there be hearing children there
as well? Where do you live?
Please also let me know if I can help at all with other arrangements
for the party. Have you chosen a theme? There are lots of different
themed party supplies on my website - and when you order online
you pay no sales tax and it ships right to your door! How many children
do you expect? I can help with game ideas to match the theme you
choose as well. How old will your nephew be?

Sandy,
That sounds great. We are hoping to have a "Fear And Loathing
in Las Vegas" style party for Tim. There won't be any children
at the party, mostly just Tim's friends who are in their twenties.
That is great news concerning the clown knowing some sign language.
Tim, myself, and my wife are the only people with the impairment.
Most of the guests hear fine. We are going to have a magician, a
live band, and plenty to eat and drink. It should be lots of fun.
Tim's been really down lately and we want to have a great birthday
party for him so he'll get his spirits up. We live in Madison. Hope
to hear from you soon.
Thanks!

Mike,
I have spent some time researching this movie and party theme. Unfortunately,
I am not going to be able to provide a clown for this party. The
clowns that work with me focus on children's parties and are not
interested in a theme such as this. I am sorry for the inconvenience,
I hope the party turns out well for Tim.

Hi Sandy,
This might be in vain, but we are willing to do whatever is needed
to have a professional clown perform at the party. Could we hire
one of your clowns as a freelancer with a little kickback action
under the table? That could work out for everybody involved. We
want the theme to be a crazy surreal atmosphere. I hope that you
don't think there will be drugs of any kind at the party. There
won't be any acid tripping or marijuana smoking. Nothing stronger
than 40 ounce bottles of malt liquor will be served to guests. We
are hoping that the clowns, mariachi band, the magician, and the
polka players will create a festive and unforgettable party.
Again, this isn't going to be some drugged out trippy fest. Some
of us will be getting drunk but there wont be any hallucinating
going on. Maybe "Fear And Loathing" was a bad way to describe
what we're hoping for. We want the imagery...not the drugs. I understand
that the usual gig for clowns is for kids parties, but hopefully
one of your clowns will be up for something a little different.
I really hope we can work something out.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
I will be glad to speak to my clowns again and give them a better
idea of what you are looking for. Do you prefer a male or female
clown? What things would you like the clown to do at the party?
How long do you wish to have a clown present? (1-2 hours?) Will
the party be held at your residence?
Thanks,
Sandy

So many clown questions!!! Hopefully someone will be up for it.
Man or woman clown is fine with us, although if it's a female clown
we would like her to be attractive, if possible. I know that's asking
a lot and she'll be wearing clown makeup but you know how these
party guests can be. They like to imagine "what's underneath."
Weather permitting we'd like to have the party outside in the backyard.
The idea we had was that the clown would do the same things as they
would for a kids party. We'd like the clown to wander around
making balloon sculptures, throwing water balloons, and doing silly
little backflips and whatnot. This will complement the strong visuals
experienced by the guests. We want real clown style nicknacking.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Mike,
I have a clown who is interested in your party. He is available
for either one or two hours on Friday, April 4, 2003. He does both
balloon animals and magic, and is accustomed to performing for adult
crowds, as well as children. Have you hired a magician already?
I happen to know one, I can check to see if he is available if you
don't have one already. Let me know how many hours you would like
the clown for, and I will get things settled for you tomorrow.

That is great news. I'm glad things are going to work out. My wife
was convinced that our lifestyle choice would create a problem for
the planning of the party. A fellow nudist referred me to you so
I figured it wouldn't be a problem. I want to make it clear that
we don't need the clown to appear naked. Only the birthday boy and
most of the guests will be in the buff. If the clown doesn't mind
appearing naked, than that is more than okay with us. A naked clown
might even outdo the show some friends of ours are going to do at
the party. Denis and Colin are going to do a full on "Puppetry
Of The Penis" style show. Theyll be contorting their
flesh kazoos and sesame nuggets all night long. We already hired
Cassidy The Wizard Haynes to do his famous Acid
Magic for the guests. He can take the party experience to
a whole new level. We'd like to have the clown for the full two
hours. If the clown feels comfortable enough to get naked, than
wed like him to spend the night. At six we'll be doing whip-its
and smoking slomo to get juiced up for the party. We'd like the
clown to be at the party by 7 when things get into full swing. We
ask that the clown refrain from making any eye contact with guests.
That is standard. Lets make this official. Our address is
224 Shizzwood Circle in Madison. Thanks!

This email correspondence proves my
longstanding theory that clowns are neither funny nor attractive in the
buff. So keep the greasepaint on and your clown nuggets in your pants.
Shizzy is outtahere.
Peace out!

Duh. Except for some spelling and paragraphing cleanup to make them more
readable, the emails are exactly as they are sent and received. Anyone

more free time on their hands than Shizzy.
